If R_FKART contains > 16000 values, the program must have put them in there before the SELECT. The SELECT statement itself surely doesn't change the contents of R_FKART.

Did you debug to check R_FKART right before the SELECT?

I had something similar in mind. But it seems a bit cumbersome for a relativly simple task. I was hoping I hadn't explored some obscure corner of ABAP yet.

Thanks.

But following that logic A(1) would be smaller than AB(12), which is contradicting the given order.

Look at this: Mouse < Lion < Elephant < Blue Whale.

I don't want to add values to my values, just create an order.

Custom List (as in MS Excel)

Hi all, Is there standard functionality in ABAP to achieve the same as with Custom Lists in Excel? For example, my custom list is: AAA, AA, A, AB, B, SC. Now I want to do something like this: value1 = 'AB'. value2 = 'AAA'. IF value1 GT value2. do something. ELSE. do something else. ENDIF. In this ca...

Actually, it is a table, a copy of ZTABLE.

Is indeed from 'the old days'. I thought it had to do with not being able to use multiple cursors for one table. Therefore they create a copy of that table.

Anyway, something you are not supposed to do anymore.[/code]

Isn't that a contradiction: message type E vs. continu processing?

It's hard to answer if there is no question. My skill set doesn't include telepathy and mind reading, and Rich is overcharging for his certification.

So let me ask you a question: what is wrong with F8 and the associated push button in the toolbar?

Well, you are either right or wrong. So just to be sure you tested it. And what was the result, cause you did test it....?

Go to SE80. In the list box in the left frame (probably says 'Program' now) choose 'Local Objects'.

This is confusing. What has SY-DATUM to do with USR01-... and S_USR01-DATFM.

Anyway, just use CONVERSION_EXIT_PDATE_OUTPUT.
