Re: Glad to meet each one here.

People? I don't think there are people here. Always imagined Gothmog as sea crab, Vlozano as talking badger and Rich as giant tortoise... Was I wrong all this time?

Re: Reading Abap

Think of something useful, take an ABAP book and write it. Report, dialog, form. By the time you finish you will be able to read and debug ABAP on a level quite acceptable for a functional consultant.

Re: E-Books VS Printed Books

True. They ask you to turn off your book. All you can do is close the leather cover because you can't technically turn it off :)

Everything has it's dawn, peak, and dusk - don't make too big a deal of it.
People who are still coming are, obviously, still enjoying it.

Re: User-exit for controlling Parm ID in SU3

Dear Yuri, In your quote "Inside original SUSR_USER_MAINT_WITH_DIALOG, at line 305 right after data declaration", do you mean before the "perform user_dequeue using user_name address-addrnumber."? Since before line 305 is about clearing some field contents inside an "IF" loop, not data declaration ...

But, actually, cases like that are where I have nothing against modifying standard. Dangers of modifying standard and direct table updates are often exaggerated in my opinion. You just have to know what you are doing :)

Re: User-exit for controlling Parm ID in SU3

Copy FM SUSR_USER_MAINT_WITH_DIALOG to ZSUSR_USER_MAINT_WITH_DIALOG
Inside original SUSR_USER_MAINT_WITH_DIALOG, at line 305 right after data declaration, create impl. ench., with EXIT.
In SAPMSUU0O report line 9, create impl. ench., with CALL FUNCTION 'ZSUSR_USER_MAINT_WITH_DIALOG'.

Learning ABAP in 21 days sounds like something that may be useful to you. Also having a system would help a lot. But please keep in mind, in order to get P_ABAP_70 you have to prepare exactly for this particular certification, just knowing ABAP is not enough. Even if you are programming in ABAP for ...
