Re: Wow. the number game was keeping this place alive

Sadly, my dear Richousaur, the FB TI group is dead silent. Who knows what will happen when this place will close. Maybe we can create a full GD forum somewhere else... out from FB to allow you to keep your soul in peace and far from the social networks.

GDFans, anyone?

Re: Dataset download hanging

I don't like your TRY-CATCH position. Which instruction you are feared of? If you think the LOOP can crash... well, it means something's wrong with the table. If you think the TRANSFER can crash, then TRY-CATCH the transfer only. Anyways, I think the TRANSFER sentence can be checked through the SY-S...

Re: Performance doubt...

Some additional data: I'm working with 4000 mat/plant combination VAPMA has around 70 million rows VBUK has around 48 million rows (only 9M with vbtyp='C' but it's too slow to check before VAPMA, I tried it) VBUP has around 146 million rows (only 555k for lfsta 'A' or 'B' and it's faster than the pr...

Re: Performance doubt...

I'm so sorry for this https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/3358261248/h8163970E/ But I think it's worth. I'm facing this problem again. I've changed the code removing the JOIN and adding few LOOPs and SELECTs... as shown below. In Q&A server the program is running faster (not a lot faster, but enough to pre...

Re: A good read...

Vic: Saw you mention the Gutenberg project: If you haven't read the Count of Monte Cristo I highly recommend it. Not only is it a classic and very good, it is a very long read. The only downside is that the Gutenberg version uses a lot of old english terms which some of them were confusing for me. ...

Re: A good read...

I've put some old sci-fi books with the Cory Doctorow's ones in my reader from feedbooks, and I'm enjoying them. Marion Zimmen-Bradley (or whatever)'s "The colours of Space" finished. I loved it. Old good sci-fi, where the future starship computers were still giving their outputs through perforated ...

Re: Need some information about a "business"...

Ok, thanks for your replies. I'm safe (basically because I have no cash to invest anywhere), and I warned my friends to stay away from the person who is promoting this "enterprise" in my surroundings.

Re: Need some information about a "business"...

More researches made. It seems it's something related with a company called "Organo Gold". Although it should sound like a pr0n movies company, I found some links claiming it's some sort of pyramidal scam. Can anyone confirm it? You all know how internet is made: mix a lot of pr0n, few truths and a ...

[SOLVED] Need some information about a "business"...

Hello. I know a person who is publiciting something called "coffee venture". Its web site says something like "earn cash just by drinking coffee". These kind of business trigger some alarms in my brain, and knowing some friends shall be asked to "invest" in that business, but not knowing for sure if...

Re: Wow. the number game was keeping this place alive

Now I'm hooked to World of Tanks, I've spent almost 300h playing Skyrim and half my life playing online RPG games (since 1996). I've been hooked to some FB games in a past life, but I could heal me from that painful time sink.

I've added you to my friends' list. I wish you will not regret because it.

Re: Wow. the number game was keeping this place alive

Ok, Craig... I will add you to my friends' list. You will feel a bit alone there :P (about FB games, I don't play any now, and I'm pretty used to block them -I have a lot of "friends" who spam me with these petitions) Snowy, I don't know really when I created that group... I just got all the "friend...
