Re: STMS : Import queue sorted in descending order by default

You're lucky.

Everytime I use STMS and delete imported requests it places the list into a totally different random order everytime!

Either way you can use SUIM and search using the multiple report options there.

Re: SEARCH_SAP_MENU transaction in ECC6

It is a support pack that takes it out - I can't remember which one. I actually opened a call with SAP about it not working and here is the very simple solution  Dear customer, The 'search_sap_menu' is old and is no longer recommended. Please use the 'search' button in the Easy access menu to s...

Re: SAPCAR - Cannot find extracted files

If that is a screenshot then the path typed for the filename isn't matching the output of sapcar.

Re: How to quantify performance hit due to OS Memory Handling.

I am aware of things like work processes having to reboot due to unix not releasing the heap memory ....
There are notes for this for HP-UX - Notes 724140 & 735566 show how to use the new "disclaim" feature where SAP releases RAM back to the O/S.

Re: Advanced Search of intranet SAP Help pages

We have the same problem.

Even though you put the files locally on your intranet/shared drive the search function only searches the current help file/page open. I also wish the local help was able to search the entire help contents as our users complain about the same thing.

Re: Note: 937697

Hi, You need to apply Note 937697 to the BW System in transaction SNOTE. The user (Administrator/j2ee_admin) can be from anywhere depending on how you have setup your UME in the portal. I would guess it would be in your portal system. This user will be in the correct groups (unless someone has remov...

Re: SAP Silent Install

The installation manual covers this - they recommend setting up an installation server.

Using an installation server allows you to push the gui out or create an installation package that can run silently on a workstation.

Re: Unable to Approve Downloads from Solution Manager

Doesn't help you with your RFC issue but the fastest way to approve stuff in your download basket is to go to Transaction SE37 and run /TMWFLOW/MO_UI_BASKET_AUTHORIZ (you can leave all the fields blank)

CUA and Position based security

Hi All,

Are there any implications/complications using position/org unit based security to assign profiles in a CUA landscape?

Re: Backup/Recovery of NW70 Java/ABAP System

OK - this may look funky as I cut and paste from a word document with screenshots and did some quick replace's of hostnames, sids etc, but these are the steps I followed and they worked fine. 15) SAP Configuration Changes for the new hostname The following is based on SAP Notes 8307 & 757692. You can usually get good info from the java logs in /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<Nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/security
