Is it possible to detect submitted jobs...

Guys, I am planning to monitor (in a way) all submitted/scheduled jobs and have the job class changed accordingly. When jobs are moved to 'Released' status I would like to trigger an event, or user exit, and have the code in this exit check the job name/program name against a Z table and decided whe...

Secondary index without MANDT field.

I have seen a few customer secondary indicies containing no MANDT field.

I feel sure this will affect the effeciency of any SQL using this index, but can't be sure.
What's the Basis stance on this, I wonder?.

Re: Scheduled job issues....

Thanks for your reply on this. We have a bottleneck at the FB server, which will need to be resolved before we start to add further App servers to the equation. There is a small window of 2-3 hours where there's no overlap between bakcground processes and Dialog sessions across the UK and Australia....

Re: Coffee Culture in the UK.

I still hate being asked if I want milk in my Americano. That makes me cringe.

Scheduled job issues....

Guys, I have a dilemna. We will be rolling out to Australia in about a years time. The UK and Australia both run jobs on a UK server during their LOCAL time/evening. Obviously the scheduled jobs for the UK kick off after 18:00 GMT and may very have impact on the Australian dialog sessions, and those...

Job Scheduling tool

I've just started to look at SAP Job scheduling tools and wondered if any of you guys have any choice words on the subject. Just to let you know, so far I've looked at SAP CPS (Redwood), IBM Tivoli and product called CONTROL-M. Briefly we just need to better control the scheduled jobs for ECC,CRM,BW...

Why is there half a screen of white space on this site.

Why is there half a screen of white space on the websites pages?.

It's just more to scroll down (needlessly). If it's reserved for advertising then place an advert in there, even if it's a free advert for charity. At least put something there for cliffs sake.

Re: Bloody Cheek!

Absolutely!. That's one agency that I'll avoid from now on. I have spoken with them in the past, but not really taken them up on anything. On that subject, during my 3.5 months of looking for a CRM contract, which is a tough market at the moment, I have spoken to 32 agencies, according to my notes. ...

Tip

Here's a very simple tip that I've been using for many years now, but am amazed at the fact that many of my colleagues struggle getting their CV out to agents. When you're in contract all those emails from agents are just annoying. What I do is create an 'Agents' folder (in Hotmail, but any email sy...

Re: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA not extending Sorg.

The itab bapi_head has a number of views that need to be checked. The sales View was not checked, and hence the issue.

BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA not extending Sorg [RESOLVED]

I have a utility program to either extend the materials Plants, or extend the material Sales Orgs, or both. The Plant extension is working fine, but, my Sales Org extension is not. The returned value (S) is saying that he material is created or extended. But, when I check MVKE there is no entry. And...

Re: A good read...

Brainrush 3, I have not read it yet Rich, although will now add it to my reading list. Going away in three weeks so no doubt will get to read a few books then. I tend to mainly read sci-fi at the moment. Having said that, I've read 1/3 of 'Six years' by Harlan Coburn. That's seem okay, so far. Dr Si...
