Re: SD: Account Posting

I should think so ..... You'd need a step like this ... Step Condition type base on reqmt Acc key Acc key 850 ZYYY Cust. Surcharge 800 24 ERB ERU at the appropriate step, of course. Your condition type should of course be positive, and you should set up your VKOA settings for both Acc keys - the sec...

You are so right! if it looks like standard English instead of jargon, make sure you all agree on what you think it means !

Re: SD: Account Posting

What you describe is very like the config for rebates, where a discount if accrued rather than given in the billing - only yours would be the accrual of a surcharge? What is the purpose of the condition type? ... looks like sharp practice and possibly against accounting rules in most countries ........

Re: Cancel billing released to Accounting

1) No different - VF11 2) If original not cleared, accounting documents created for cancellation is is cleared against original. If already cleared, only document for cancellation is created - clearing not possible. Fiscal periods or years not relevant as you can only post to an open period in FI an...

Re: Stock Type

further to HT's answer The term Stock Type is also used to refer to special stocks such as; 'K' = Vendor Consignment 'O' = Sub Contract 'E' = Sales Order etc. etc. But like the stock statuses HT referred to these are attributes of the stock record and not the material master. Not exactly, Sean ... ...

Re: UoM Conversion

CUNI doesn't require a conversion as these UoM's are all 'time' dimension. If they are not already all set with the ISO setting of SEC with standard relationship, they should be? SAP will then auto convert whereever encountered. Problem will only exist with larger UoM's, i.e. DAY = 24 HR = 86400 SEC...

Re: Issue to Scrap via Material Document

Yeah, but ...... It's an easy change to make the movement type in the schedule line 655.( not 653 as i saud earlier) I use both types - Equipment materials are returned to Returns as there is a formal 'quanrantine' process which allows them then to be released to unrestricted by 453. they will not b...

Re: Issue to Scrap via Material Document

Try to get them to reconsider the use of 'Returns' - if you return instead to QI stock (653) you can then use 321 for the 'good' stock to unrestricted, and 553 to scrap the 'rubbish' directly.

Less entry, cleaner visibility ?

Re: UoM HR and H

You can use the one you want ... the only consideration is whether or not you need to conform to any appropriate industry or EDI standard .... for example, I comply with the PIDX standard for upstream oil which uses conforms to UN V0355-004010 and uses HR. There is also UNECE which uses HUR or the a...
