Thank you for your answer, CHC. In fact it confirms my point of view. But is there a chance to have more than one hierarchy in one query and to use the appropriate one depending on the system it was sourced from? (Multiple queries is too much maintenance work and to use one structure entry per selec...

Hierarchies from different source systems in 1 query

Hello BW experts, we have connected different SAP systems to our BW 30B system. All of them use a hierarchy which is identical on the parent node levels but they have different leaf nodes attached. The hierarchy is a GL Account hierarchy but the problem should be similar using other info objects. BW...

Hello SAP Fans,
Has anybody tried with ':' ?
Are there any limitations to the query, selection with variable or not, ...?
I can not get it to work properly under these circumstances (BW 30B, SP10), any ideas?

Does OSS 363203 apply? I have the same problem and error message as eds1 had in the first statement in this topic. I link a Web Query with a ABAP Report on BW 30B SP10. I do not want to go anywhere but to execute the report from BW itself. So I use WAS not ITS, but still it keeps teeling me to defin...

In my special case I used parameter statements in the ABAP Report, because the source query was going to an ODS.
It worked fine even without assignment details.

RRI to ABAP/4 Reports or customer transactions

Hi there,

has anybody made experience with the subject above?
Is there any technical doc on the interface?
How to map the fields defined in the details of the assignment of source and target?
Thanks a lot for any input!

Hierarchy evaluation routines

Hi,

has anybody experience with the hierarchy evaluation routines in 3.0B?

I am trying to get the leafs in an info object's hierarchy starting from a specific node in that hierarchy but I could not find something like that in the function pools.

Thanks in advance.

Store cumulatives rather than monthly values in InfoCube

Hi, the reverse problem of the previously posted topic of deriving monthly values from cumulatives values seems to be more interesting to me: Many of the data sources we use (3.0B) supply monthly values. But as the user prefers to see and talk about cumulative data (because he does not care if it wa...

"Recursive" Key Figure - possible with BW???

I used to believe with BW 3.0B you could do any calculation you can do in Excel, but then I came across the following problem: A key figure (DSO- daily sales outstanding) needs to be calculated in BW that is defined recursively on other key figures on an aggregated level. It canNOT be calculated on ...

Hi Jim,
what are you after?
Analyze PSA tables /BIC/B... per transfer structure and source system or
write the info to your own table in the start routine of corresponding transfer rules.
Hope that helps

Inform users about update

Hi all, we are updating an ICube from scratch every 12hours and whereas in the begining it was only a few minutes, in the meanwhile it takes about 45 min - so it very likely that users try to query the cube while it is being built up. They will get no or only part of the result. Could we inform user...

Release Data for extraction

Hi all, since you cannot push data into BW - does anybody of you have experience with releasing data from R/3 for reporting in BW (3.0B)? We want to implement a mechanism where R/3 users can assure data quality in R/3 and finally sign the data by releasing it for reporting in BW. A special table in ...

Hi,
do you mean records coming from a certain requests or do you mean values delivered in a result of query?
The latter you could achieve by Calculation of query result.
Show Result/Single values as "Counting all values".
Good Luck!
