Re: Delete Inbound delivery

Please check the quantity in the shipping notification in MD04 against the VL32N transaction as I believe there will be a difference. For example if VL32N shows 10000 and MD04 shows 9000 then just change VL32N to 1000 and this clears the shipping notification. I have had users ask this question many...

Re: MRP doesn't consider sales order but considers delivery

The best solution I can think of here is to set up a storage location that is not-MRP relevant and specify that location in the sales document. The system will not create any requirement to produce or purchase parts but the sales order will still show in MD04. Then when the delivery is created you c...

Re: Recursive Order BoM

You need to review all of your BOM components again because somewhere in the BOM structure you have 100% definitely got a recursive component. I have worked with SAP since 1997 and I have NEVER seen this message when there is no recursion in the BOM structure.

Re: Process order consume forecast

I agree completely with Dave although instead of creating independent requirements you could create planned orders and consume them against production orders. However, this is not something I would recommend when the independent requirement functionality is designed around forecasting sales, not pro...

Restrict MRP list by Material Status

If you don't want to see exception messages for such materials then I think the solution is to make them MRP type "ND" for no planning. You will still have to set the exception message as processed once and after that I don't think you will see it anymore.

Re: Exception meaasge difference MD04 & MD05

MD06 is a snap shot of the MD04 stock requirements list and exception message status at the time of the last MRP run. If the demand/stock situation has changed since then MD04 will be reflective of the real time situation. In my experience it is best to use MD06 very soon after the planning run has ...

Re: Automatic PR creation when ProdOrder created

I'm not sure why you would want to not create purchase requisitions but in the MD01 Planning Run you can select the option to create planned orders instead of purchase requisitions and then later convert them into purchase requisitions.

You can user transaction CO05N to collectively release production orders instead of going into them one by one.

Repetitive Manufacturing Mid Point Component Backflush

I've looked at the PP-REM documentation and chose the option "Follow-up posting of previous reporting point quantities" in the details tab and my control key for all routing operations and the REM profile is set to mandatory confirmation. Even with the above set up the system is still only backflush...

Repetitive Manufacturing Mid Point Component Backflush

The problem we have is all of the REM confirmations are done via an EDI interface with our traceability system so we can't do any manual modifications because all that gets sent is a material number, quantity, reporting point and scrap reason code (obviously for scrap only). The other problem is whi...

Repetitive Manufacturing Mid Point Component Backflush

It's been many years since I have looked at this in detail and after doing some more testing this morning I agree fully that the confirmation control keys are what need to be changed to find the solution. So far I was able to modify the control keys to confirm yield and backflush previous operation(...

ECC6 Repetitive Mid Point Backflush

I am revisting this topic for another reason but during testing I am finding that if a confirmation is done at say Operation 0120 the system only backflushes the components for that operation and not for the previous operation(s) where components are allocated. I have tried several test scenarios an...

Re: Multiple lead time and Pricing in same info-record

HT is correct this is a very unique scenario and my advice would be to set your leadtime in the master data as the longest one available and if the parts only need a minor repair they should be changed in the purchase requision before converting it into an order or alternatively if your working with...

Re: Ability to ship items when below safety stock

Seany is correct this is controlled by the check box in the availability check so you can either amend the availability check or use a different one that allows you to ship by using the safety stock. This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone using the safety stock to stop sales being made s...
