Re: SAP Security assessment, role redesign & remediation costs

It is very dependent on things like complexity of landscape, complexity & maturity of business processes, regulatory requirements etc. Who is doing the work will also influence costs greatly as they are likely to be working on a T&M basis. Very generally I would expect a security assessment to be 2-...

Re: su01 report

You can use one of the reports under SUIM -> Users by complex selection criteria - create a variant with the tx that you want. You can find technical report details when you get to the report.

Re: Bitcoin mining experiences

Could a mining program be written in ABAP , scheduled under an innocuous name & left to run? Run that across lots of systems & it could be a nice little earner :D

Re: Graduate School

If you want to do SAP then stick to SAP, if you want to do roles that have SAP as a component then by all means continue education in different areas.

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

I think part of the blame must be with those in SAP who joined Permanent side of the thing and then started debasing SAP consulting as is. I find it annoying that companies spend millions, sometimes hundreds of millions on systems and yet the most powerful people on projects or project resource sup...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

From an employers POV they have been in touch a couple of times to try & flog us candidates. I've not heard anything specifically bad about them from an employees/contractors perspective & bad news tends to travel quite fast. Doing a bit of database update sounds a bit like sharp practice but could ...

Re: Lock a field in material master from change

Hi, A couple of options are: 1. Create a tx variant with that field as display only. Assign variant to a custom tx and distribute (cons are that most users use the custom tx). 2. Work with a developer to use the enhancement framework to restrict that field to display only unless users have additiona...

If your release is high enough and you debug the F4, then you will see it.

Hi, it's not a simple method as such but this is the standard way of restricting results in search help.

Re: GRC V10 Connectors to non sap systems

Hi Gary, This post was more about connecting SAP GRC to another non-SAP system. Cheers btw, I agree that spending on tools is not mandatory for achieving control and investment does not automatically give control. In your example of customer adoption, the same would apply to 3rd party tools, RSUSR00...

Re: Authorization - Use System Fields As Object Value

Hi, Assuming that there will be some customisation required you have some other options: - Use the enhancement framework to default sy-uname into the field and make the field uneditable. - Use a parameter ID to populate the field and use a screen variant to make the field uneditable. This would mean...

Re: Auths object F_BKPF_BUK

Hi, You are correct. This is standard functionality. You have a few options, a couple of them being: 1. Use the enhancement framework to include an additional check on one of the transactions (a developer can help with this) 2. Implement a mitigating control (and for 1 user this makes more sense bas...
