You do not seriously use that brilliant power of deduction to determine forum topics?

Dedicated GuiXT Forum

Hi, as you may be aware, I have gotten into bit of a frizz for answering post related to GuiXT that are "dead". Could I maybe suggest that there be a dedicated GuiXT Section in the forums, so as to work with current threads only. This was suggested to me by one of your admins, tx4allthefish. I reall...

Re: Sr. SAP ABAP Consultant

Hi, GuiXT can not integrate witht the workflow screens. Also not with ALV Grids or any ActiveX Objects. You will need to use Function Modules and/or BAPI's to retreive and send information from/to GuiXT.

Kind regards

Re: GIUXT script-centrally

Hi, I do not know if these questions are answered, so apologies if they are: Storing of the files - This can be done locally, on the users workstation, however, the downside to this is that the user has access to the scripts directly, (Can Edit Them), and also, that updated scripts would need to be ...

Re: GUIxt

Hi,

As an alternative, you could also store the scripts in a SAP Web Repository.

This gives you the added ability of then being able to version your scripts, and also, takes away the hassle of a server that is not up, or distribution to multiple workstations when a script is updated.

Re: guixt scripts

Hi, the previous reply is correct, well, partly. The Designer Application is a useful, but not necessary tool for moving fields around on your screen. For the functionality that you need, you will need to know a bit more about the GuiXT coding language. Also, given that you understand the language, ...

Re: Field locations - SHD0

Hi, GuiXT can be activated programatically when the user logs on. You can also prevent the user to disable/enable GuiXT. Additionally, you can store the guixt script file in the SAP Web Repository, so you do not need to deploy the files to every user's workstation.

Kind regards,

Re: GuiXT Use

The GuiXT file name is constructed sa follows : Program.LanguageKey.ScreenNumber.txt, also, to maintain scripts globally, I would suggest you use versioning, and store the scripts in the SAP Web Repository. Everytime changes are made to the scripts, you increment the version number by 1. GuiXT will ...

Re: GUIXT Questions

Hi, the file you need to create to change the logon is called "elogon.txt" You can either store this file in your scripts directory (Local), a web/file server, or in the SAP Web Repository (RFC Access Needed) Typically, this is a logon file: It is assumed that you have the relevant images that you a...

DMS File Check In

Thanks for the reply. I do know that SAP explicitly warns against checking the files into the dB as opposed to a ContentServer like KPRO. This is for testing purposes only. That in mind, the problem is that I can not check a file into the SAP dB or into KPRO for that matter. I have looked at the con...
