OMG! Any refugees from SCN?

OMG.. any friendly faces still around?

I don't know if I can survive SAP's latest incarnation of their SCN forums.

Wow.. I can only say I am so disappointed!

Flame-throwers are much more fun for this kind of stuff.

Re: Making the case for the Dark Side

I poked my head in and I find an interesting topic! Well.. I can say I'm well past my 50 year mark. Not yet to the 60's but the high beams can kind of see them. I've thought about a permie job and have even taken a look at one or two. But haven't seen anything that really intrigues me yet. One of my...

Gotta run

Ok folks.. I came back to take a look around and I've determined this place is dead.. *kicking candy wrapper under desk.... blowing dust of CRT screen...." I hate to say I'm bailing but it looks that way. Thought it would be rude to just leave without never saying goodbye... I'm really going to miss...

Re: Inspection origin 08 and reject quantity

All you can really do is go ahead and post the material to UR and then just process this a return. No matter what, if you want reference to the PO's you'll need to do two return deliveries.

Re: Unplanned Characteristics

Not sure the OP was using or talking about target values.

In any case, target values are not taken into consideration for valuation. Never have been.

Re: Unplanned Characteristics

I can't say I know of any issue with qualitative characteristics.

As far as your MIC's you should at least have the maximum value allowed for a MIC. I.e a ph should be 1 - 14. A percent test should be 0 - 100%, etc... etc...

Re: stock showing in QA

One of your two statements is incorrect. If couldn't have posted the stock and have the situation you have and not have an inconsistency. I'd recheck ALL the inspection lots for the material and make sure all stock posting are completed. I'd run the worklist for inspection lots without stock posting...

Re: Defects recording. Business viewpoint

It all depends on what you intend to do with this data once you have it and exactly what defects you intend to track. Simply turning on defect recording for OOS characteristics probably won't net you a lot as my guess is there is probably already a process for monitoring things that don't pass spec....

Re: Bloody Cheek!

Any more I tell the recruiter my range right up front and that pretty much sends most of them away. If we aren't in the ball park then why bother with anything else.

Maybe at some point I'll need to adjust downwards but right now I don't and won't.

Re: Gilwice, Poland

Thanks Ilya!

With our plans firmed up now we will be flying into Katowice. Then a 20 min drive by driver to Gilwice. So no time on this trip probably to "see" anything. :-(

Re: Action Box within Quality Notification error

Thanks for the follow-up! That's not a real unusual issue actually anymore. Seems like fewer and fewer truly "new" systems going in. More and more are like what you describe, an acquisition, merger, or upgrade project seem to be the majority of them. Unraveling something someone else did, and especi...

Re: QM inspection lots with Co-Products scenario

I had a thought on the co-products 03. It might take some development. But I think they'll be fairly easy and straight forward. Maybe something like the following: Create the co-product as an intermediate material, not a FG. I don't think you even have to batch manage the intermediate. Then at order...
