Why not add a refresh button to the ALV toolbar which will activate your code that refreshes the table?

I am sure there are many who have been self taught on the ABAP Objects and I tried. And I was able to code some programs using the Objects techniques afterwards, but once I took the class I found that I was not doing some things properly and was actually mixing contemporary ABAP with Objects. It doe...

We are currently on 4.6c. We do not use ABAP Objects as much as I would like, it's a matter of getting everyone else trained and convincing management that it is the direction that the development team should go. Yes it is worth learning! This just came out today in the SAP Developer Network Newslet...

As far as building interactive ALV reports I agree with VLozano that the OO methods are the way to go. The problem you described though sounds like you need to modify the PAI to return to the first ALV screen rather than exiting the progam and returning to the initial selection screen.

I agree that BAPI's are the way to go although unless your on 4.7 you may find that some popular transactions do not yet have a BAPI available forcing you back to the BDC option.

I believe the BAPI is available in 4.7 but I agree that delivery creation should have one by now.

I am going to throw in a Bush prediction to try and balance things out a little. Althought if the following link (which has been accurate since 1932 at predictiong the Predidential election results) is correct again this time I do not have a lot of faith that he will win because I do not believe the...

I Took the training back in the R/2 days when applying patches and modifying standard SAP code was still in Assembler (ugly stuff).

I like ZZ's answer.

To be honest I am still learning!

I like most but the first is the best and none would exist without it, so my vote goes to the first Star Trek series.

most often the document number is in the error message as one of the MSGV1 through MSGV4 fields that mr mentioned earlier. In order to get a good feel for the messages in the table you might try running it in foreground once putting a breakpoint at your next statement (which should be a statement ch...

Rich,

Do you have the memory (match) game and the SOLITAIRE one? They may have come from SAPGenie too.

(by the way, thanks to whoever developed the memory game, it got me interested in learning ABAP OO coding).

choice, Thanks, now it's a little clearer to me what your looking at. Yes, often times there is a gap between the users and developers. A good business analyst who has some programming background would be a wonderful addition to such projects. Things would certainly work through smoother and quicker...

Unfortunately being moved to the job forum you will probably get less responses, especially from experienced SAP folks because many of us have no reason to enter this forum and thus will not see your posting. It would have been nice if it had been left where it was especially since your asking for g...
