Class 001 Characteristic Values not displaying in MM02-RESOL

Solution: After a bit of a search I discovered that this specific characteristic was using Overwritten Values. This means that the Values in this Class can be different from that in the Char (CT04) itself. We updated the values in CT04, thus they did not appear in CL02. To delete the Overwritten opt...

Class 001 Characteristic Values not displaying in MM02

Hi We added about 50 Values to a Characteristic (CT04) in a 001 Class a few days ago. We then add this Class to a Material (MM02) that already contains a 001 Class or two. We however cannot display/select the new entries in the Material Master Classification view. We only see the old entries. If I a...

Re: Prevent Batch Stock to go Negative

After an investigation I came to the following conclusion: Even though negative stock is not allowed for an Sloc, if a movement is backdated, SAP only checks if there is enough stock on transaction date (to prevent going negative). Therefore, if there is stock today, I can backdate a posting from th...

Re: Prevent Batch Stock to go Negative

Hi We track our stock on batch level, and on every day. In this example, SAP allowed a 261 on the specific batch, although there was no stock for this batch at that time. 4002 R02F000260 311 X 4900534216 2 10.07.2014 10.07.2014 11:36:26 9,980 G 4002 R02F000260 261 4900534598 3 10.07.2014 10.07.2014 ...

Prevent Batch Stock to go Negative

Hi Our materials are unvaluated and Batch Managed and we do not allow for negative stock in a Storage Location. A user backdated a 261 for a specific batch (B123) 2 days prior. The Sloc had enough stock of the Material, but the Batch (B123) went negative. The user then transferred the Batch (B123) f...

Collective UD QA16 for Free Inspection Points

Hi all We are trying to do a Collective UD (QA16) on 04 Inspection Types. We created the lots with 'Free Inspection Points' but because of this, SAP does not allow these materials to be part of Collective UD (It seems that I may be able to do an automatic UD, but this will be our last resort). Is th...

Re: Calculation Characteristic

Hi

If you want to calculate a value in the Batch Classification (MSC2N), you can use Object Dependancies (CU01) in the Batch.
Hope this helps.

Re: Calculation Characteristic

Hi

Have you tried using (C00210 * 0.5185) + 3.7395 as the formula?

Re: Characteristic Values in MSC2N

Hi daardvark

If you use Inspection Points in the Plan, you can update the Class Characteristics every time you save the MIC's result.

Re: New Inspection Point does not Change Batch Classification

It took a while to determine, as the first result gets classified and thus one assume that the Object Dependency is working.

Re: New Inspection Point not Change Batch Classification (SOLVED

Hi

I found the problem! :D
There was an Object Dependancy linked to some of the Class Characteristics, but not to all of the Characteristics that was used in the Dependancy. The OD could not be completed and therefore the Classification did not update.

Re: New Inspection Point does not Change Batch Classification

Hi Craig Thanx for the feedback. I also thought that it should not affect me, but I am struggling to find the solution. I tested in our Playpen environment, and there the batch is changing everytime, even if it is Handling Units. I notice that there are a few differences when I compare the Switch Fr...
