Re: SLIN for TABLES parameter issue

The simplest way is just to mark the structure as "Cannot be Enhanced". After all, it is a Z structure so generally you would just edit it rather than add an append structure.

In SE11 go Extras > Enhancement Category, and try changing to "Cannot be Enhanced".

Re: Cumulative locks

That's actually a good question.
I had a hunt around but could not come up with a sensible answer either.
Looking in SM12 I can see plenty of examples where cumulative locks are used - notably EBAN.
So if anyone has the answer, I would be interested to know too.

Re: ABAP Functional Module

Other technical reasons for using a Function Module over a Class / Method are:
* RFC calls; and
* CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK.

These have no equivalent in ABAP Objects.

Re: REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and CheckBox

The Function Module Documentation for REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY is quite detailed, and can be accessed using the button in SE37. If the caller wants to use a self-defined user interface (for example, in order to provide additional list functions or use existing functions), we recommend that you copy st...

Re: change title of each column in a ALV cl_salv_table

Correct - when I said "CL_SALV_COLUMNS_TABLE" I was referring generically to the class. In your example this means object reference variable "COLUMNS".

I don't believe you can align ALV headers and data separately. Alignment always applies to the whole column: both header and data.

Cheers,

Re: change title of each column in a ALV cl_salv_table

Method GET_COLUMN is passed the technical column name, not a title or description. As far as I know a column should always have a technical name. Note that CL_SALV_COLUMNS_TABLE has a table attribute T_COLUMNS and a method GET to return it. This consists of the technical column name and a reference ...

Re: Different Partners @ item

For what it is worth I recall we had problems with SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE and ended up using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 instead. Might be worth giving a try. If still no joy then suggest you do some debugging to try and figure out what its rationale is for setting or not setting these fields. A...

Re: Select most recent record based on two columns

This is a surprisingly difficult question. My understanding is that when using aggregate expressions every result column must be either listed in the GROUP BY clause, or be the subject of an aggregate expression. So the code example you have shown above should give a syntax error, as ID is neither i...

Perhaps it would help if you included the type declaration for <SOURCE_FIELDS>.

Re: code does not work in ZXPADU02

ZXPADU02 is the include for exit function EXIT_SAPFP50M_002. The description for this is "Customer Checks for Personnel Administration and Recruitment", so I would be very wary about having a COMMIT WORK in it. A couple of things to check: * Have you confirmed that your exit code is actually being e...

Re: Insert into table from another table...

Not to my knowledge.

However it is possible to use OPEN CURSOR... DO. FETCH NEXT CURSOR... ENDDO. to read and then insert the records in blocks. This won't help with the processing time, but will limit the memory required.

Re: contains_any_not_of predicate function

Syntax definition is here:
http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_702/en/abe ... ctions.htm

It says that CONTAINS_ANY_OF and CONTAINS_ANY_NOT_OF are always case sensitive and there is no CASE parameter.

Re: contains_any_not_of predicate function

What is CONTAINS_ANY_NOT_OF ? A functional method of a custom class ?
What are its parameters and how are they defined ?
Also you might like to try adding a comparison to your IF condition: IF contains_any_not_of(...) EQ abap_true.
