SAP Solution Manager Stack Update

Hi Forum, I have read in note 1169247 that "a direct JSPM update to Solution Manager 7.0 Java Stack 18 and higher is not possible from some of the Java stacks. Therefore, proceed as follows: First, use the JSPM update to update the Java stack only to Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 and then updat...

Document Management Systems

Hi Forum,

Does anyone have any idea around the software and hardware costs for any document management system that integrates with SAP?

Ixos, Easy Software, etc...

Any information would be of great help.

Thanks,

Generic Object Services Security

Hi Forum, We are looking to start storing attachments against tcodes PA20/PA30. We need to implement some sort of security so that only people with certain roles/auth profiles can add/view attachments. We would also need some sort of security so that users cannot delete attachments. Is anyone able t...

SU01 Parameter Tab

We have members of our SAP team which have display access to see any user's master record using SU01D. I was wondering through PFCG if there is a way to activate the Parameter tab of a user master record so that it can be changed by these members of the SAP team. I know that the Parameter tab can be...

RSCONN01 Recommended Variant Values

Forum, 4 times during a 24 hour period, we send 1,500-2,000 emails from our SAP system and the job takes about 1 hour to finish. We are trying to get this time to decrease and we are constantly tweaking our own "INT" variant on RSCONN01 to do this. We have only managed to shave off 15-20 minutes so ...

Copy of SAP System

Forum, At present, we have a copy of our PRD system on a test system. We make this by restoring a SQL backup over the top of the test system to keep it up to date. We have a need to restore our DEV system on our test system so that we can test support package application but the SAP system on the te...

Kernel Update

Hi Forum,

Is there a necessity to be on a certain support pack level in order to update the kernel or can the kernel just be upgraded independently?

If a certain support pack level is required, can you tell me where I would find the kernel level to support pack level information.

Unable to print trademark (TM) symbol

Hi Forum,

We want to be able to print the trademark symbol (TM) from SAP. When we try to print it comes out as #.

Can anyone tell me how to get it to work please. It displays properly on the print preview in SAP.

We are on ECC6 if that needs to be known.

Thanks,

Re: How are the SM* Jobs Created?

Don't worry - found it!

All the SM jobs get scheduled as the user who runs SM:SCHEDULER batch job.

How are the SM* Jobs Created?

Hi Forum, This is probably an easy question to answer but how are the SM* jobs created in Solution Manager? We have 2 Sol Man systems where I had to change the user that was running the SM jobs. One of the systems has worked fine. The job runs and then is somehow resubmitted/released to run on anoth...

Forum,

When saving an attachment to a document using GOS, where does the document get saved? What is the location on the file system?

Document Management Solutions

Hi Forum, It has been quite a while since I have done anything with a document management solution and was wondering if there is anything integrated into SAP itself now (out of the box). We are on ECC6. Back in the day, in order to get linkage between financial transaction codes/documents in SAP and...

Invoice Printing Issue

Forum, I apologise if this is in the wrong forum. I have been asked by a developer to find out why a "double dash" (which makes one long dash), comes out as the symbol # on a SAPscript invoice when printed. I have dealt with issues like this before when it comes to additional languages in the system...
