Re: Restraint of trade in the contract

You can try, but unless the client desperately needs "only you", agent will not agree. Also depends on which agent. if its large agency, they may not agree.

One of the reasons agencies are engaged is to keep terms flexible, so maybe giving it a try is a good idea.

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

Resolve this for me then, had 2 warnings from Management for telling them, what they wanted to achieve was logically contradictory and hence cant be configured (not just SAP but any system, since the numerous process design had flaws of looping. Process A had to precede, B which has to precede C and...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

I think this is shared experience that non SAP IT project managers are many times better than Project Managers with SAP. There are however SAP Consultants who had couple of years of SAP experience and then moved into management...all the while debasing the Consulting and knowledge side of SAP. This ...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

I think part of the blame must be with those in SAP who joined Permanent side of the thing and then started debasing SAP consulting as is. I find it annoying that companies spend millions, sometimes hundreds of millions on systems and yet the most powerful people on projects or project resource supp...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

I asked the question, the agent had no clue. Like, do you know or not and first I said no then I know debugging....then "what does it mean do you know ABAP, yes or no"...I wanted to say FO, but said a reluctant yes. HANA, again reluctant yes....waffle really. Then the agent went into loop of databas...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

Oh you mean like asking SAP SD certified people if they know order-to-cash process? But when you ask what the project scope is they don't know ... :) Unfortunately it was like FI, CO, FICA, integration of FICA with COPA, AP, Invoice Verification. Good to have ABAP development and ECC on HANA. On ca...

Re: UK Agency Advise : Progressive

From an employers POV they have been in touch a couple of times to try & flog us candidates. I've not heard anything specifically bad about them from an employees/contractors perspective & bad news tends to travel quite fast. Doing a bit of database update sounds a bit like sharp practice but could...

Re: Agency Trick

Quite right Martin

The number of SAP projects that fail is staggering, yet in practice business clients remains same irritant bunch

The company that ditched me was

Experis. Never ever imagined this company would do it. This used to be great company.

Re: Agency Trick

Ohh happened again, this time with one of the best known 'reputed' agency....I now assume it has become common. I am going to put a name and shame blog on these agencies. Whats SAPFANS policy on this? Can we name rough agencies?

Re: Agency Trick

In my case, the agency actually claimed, it submitted the CV without doing so. Now I think the agency probably thought I was a strong candidate but for some reason did not want to forward my CV. But it also did not want other agency to submit the CV. I think agencies have limits as to what number of...

Agency Trick

Hello Guys Odd thing is happening in market, I sent my CV to agency, which confirmed they have forwarded it to the client. Atleast in once instance they did not seem to have done so. I came to know about it from hiring manager of the client. (Unfortunately after they hired the contractor). I may sue...
