Re: Service Order Document Flow

Document flow is normally fairly independent, updating it is not likely to break anything else in the order vital flow. You can update the records in the VBFA table with your PM orders being the preceding document, and the service entry sheet/PO being your follow on document. As this is not provided...

Re: Firmed Planned Orders

What is firming for if you still want to allow MRP to update quantity? You must not change the date, is it?

Multi-level Sales BOM explosion with Alternate BOMs

I have a three level sales document structure, with top two levels setup as ERLA in material master Item category - with requirement transfer happenning at the lowest (3rd level) to MRP. I prefer having alternate BOMs at the second level (item 2 --> Item 3), but these are not offered for selection i...

Re: CO11N and installed base

I am quite certain you were misled. CO11N is a transaction to confirm (declare work completed/products produced) production order operations. Its not a report for installed base.

Re: MPS/MRP question

MRP type normally decides when to order. Lot size key, how much to order. M0 MRP type means plan according to requirements, not ahead of them. You seem to be needing something like a "desired stock level" through the use of "maximum stock level" - which was not the intent behind it. If you enter des...

Re: production order with multiple operations vs 2 prod. orders

What is the duration of each step, and the waiting period? Is there any use of material after just the first step and not the second? If the second answer is NO, then preferable to keep it in one production order. There is no hard and fast way to decide though.

Re: Time Event Confirmation with Milestone

Just to make sure, you used Start of Processing and End of Processing, on CO19, right?

And, do you have just one standard value called labor? or any others? Do you use a standard SAP standard value key or your own?

Re: Automatic PR creation when ProdOrder created

I think the question here is why "automatically creating" PurReq on converting to Prd Order. For this the reason might be that you have these materials setup as Non-stock components (item category = N) on the BOM? If you change them to stock item (item category = L) then the PurReq will not be "auto...

Re: Restrict MRP list by Material Status

I think he wants not to stop MRP itself (which is what ND does) but just stop viewing them in MRP list... is that right?

Re: Goods Issue to Production Order Question

Did you try INTRA material type for the intermediate material (phantom)? I personally never used it but it rings a bells as I read your requirements - check that out.

Re: Sales Orders not Consuming the available quantity in MD04

Yes ofcourse. I am only talking about standard strategy group 10 without any config or code tweaking - it should not consume PIR or add to available quantity when you enter a sales order in this scenario.

Re: Sales Orders not Consuming the available quantity in MD04

That's not normal. Are you sure this is a sales order created after the strategy group was updated to 10?

Sales orders (and other MRP elements) inherit the master data at the time of creation and do not automatically change when master data is changed - that's why my above question.

Re: MRO refurbishment thru subcontracting ADSUBCON gaps

We have implemented this process finally with a lot of additional enhancements/user exits. It was not such a standard SAP solution as I was looking for, but most of all the requirements have been completed and delivered successfully. If anyone has such requirements, I can share the line of thinking.

Re: How can MPS/MRP plan the independent requirement separately

Btw, let me add that the MRP 'bucket' is a day at the minimum. Without complicating your question with production versions, if you asked if 2 separate requirements (sales orders, for example) fell on the same day, MRP would plan for them together, even if you are expecting 'Lot for Lot". Thats just ...
