Re: Is it possible to download SAP GUI for training at home?

Hello,

in most cases there are 3 stages (development, q/a and production). If you want to train, why do you not get a user in development or q/a?

Re: MBA fresher want to learn SAP, suggestions please

Hello, I disagree with that. Of course you can try to learn SAP by yourself. There is a lot of stuff in the internet (you can start at SDN, newsgroups, Academy Cube...). But you should get a job with SAP first. Say that you are willing to learn. You must have a system to use your knowledge. And what...

Re: A new low

Hello, my two cents: I am not a freelancer. In Germany the rates seems to be 85 Euro = 100 $. That make 13.600 a month (if you calculate with 160 h a month). But you must see what you have to pay from this: taxes, health insurance, financial security (if you are old), reserves when you do not get jo...

Re: SAP Testing Consultant (what's that exactly?)

Hello, imho you need for integration testing a good business process documentation. In theory there should be one there, somewhere. And you need it as more as you away from the business itself. I do not like to test things I do not understand. If there is not process documentation, I ask the require...

Re: SAP Testing Consultant (what's that exactly?)

Hello, I think (as a tester myself, IT based) you must make a difference between someone who does testing or other things to improve the quality in the organisation (programmer = unit test, tester = integration test, business uat) and a consultant. For me a consultant is a guy with very good knowled...

Re: Copy and paste function in SAP

Hello,

that is working as designed.

Sometimes you can use this workaround:

source, export data to Excel, copy there

target: There must be an icon "Upload from clipboard" looks like a classical clipboard you use in school.

Try TX SE16, multiple selection, there you can see it.

Nice weekend

Re: New to SAP, Where to Start?

Hello, in my opinion you should get a good general and / or IT education. With that you apply at a organisaation that uses SAP and say: I want to to something with SAP and I am willing to learn it. There is an ABAP trial version, free to get. It is not recommended to get some SAP education without a...

Re: New to SAP, Where to Start?

Hello, the organisation you are working for should know what education is good for you and what is not. At least you specify the area you are working in: basis, HR, MM etc. And you functional role: Project manager, consultant, programmer, tester, requirement engineer etc. I think for a lot of these ...

Re: Truth about Table Maintenance / DEBUG

Hello, standard SAP tables you cannot change (with SM30) you must use the proper transaction (e.g to change RESB use TX MB22). Of course you can change Z tables. If you have debugging with a change mode, you can edit nearly everything: tables via SE16 (also standard ones), the RCs in the program (wh...

Re: ST22 - Organizational Question

Hello, if the people do not want a change, why are they calling a consultant? Maybe my IT Organisation is not brilliant, but it is verry solid. We have an User Help Desk, Incident and Problem Management. Also first (non IT) and last level support (IT). We put together our changes (coming from reques...

Re: ST22 - Organizational Question

Hello, I (as tester and last level support) am on the same line as Zavaros. If a end user is annoyed by the dump, he shall open an incident. That goes back to IT and can not be ignored. We get emails for every dump, which I collect in a special folder. I have a view on that folder every day. Normaly...
