You would use table GLT0. You would have to add debits and credits up to the month in question. There is a choice of three, if I recall correctly. See the layout for GLT0.

No, it is not possible to create a field without a data elemnt in a table in the data dictionary. You can define a field in an abap program without a data element.

I would suggest making a special user account that is only used for this particular requirement and then modifying the called program so it tests for the special user id.

Find out the name of the program for the report. I don't think this one is a SAPscript. Then just copy the program.
R...... to ZR..... .
You can change and execute your new program with se38.

Check the contents of W_FILE. It must contain a correct path name for your system.

Hello rayJ

The basic rule of thumb is that your table needs to be defined so that the fields (columns) of the table are in sort sequence going from left to right. And the table should be sorted.

An internal table is identifiable because it has OCCURS added to the definition.

You have to replicate the same keystrokes in your program as you would make if you were making the entry manually. A good guide for this can be obtained by making a recording of the transaction (sm35 or shdb).

FOR ALL ENTRIES is intended for regular internal tables, not select options. It replaces LOOP ... SELECT... ENDLOOP, thus reducing your hits of the database to 1. This can provide much better performance.

Standard programs like rfbide00 create a bdc, so you are actually using the bdc technique if you use this (minor point).

Do you really update your z table with a bdc? If so, why do you then use sm30?

The answer to your question is to write a simple program and transport it to production.

You might also try se16 or se17. not sure if they delete.
