Time Manager's Workplace

Wow, been a million years since I've last been on here... Have a question re: Time Manager's Workplace Message processing. The system generates a message via COLER that there are 2 hours unapproved overtime. The client only wants to approve 1 hour. Is there a way to change the 2 hours to 1 hour dire...

Re: can i add WBS's to IT0027?

Not done it myself but looking at IT0027, I would say yes you can (assign to a WBS) in IT0027. I am looking at a ECC6.0 system. And hence it should be able to assign all cost associated to it... One big difference between doing it in CATS vs IT0027 is that IT0027 is static (i.e. fixed for a period o...

Re: Global Payroll on the stand alone box or shared?

The issue of where to implement your global payroll nowadays has less to do with HRSP especially with the introduction of CLC's. These can be implemented and tested seperate to other modules. Reasons for implementing it on its own box would be: * Processing time (specially if time eval. is implement...

You probably also want to look at SAP Note 555588 - Change of the Time Evaluation periodicity

Re: Retro calculation

hrboss is correct in essence but I think he should have provided you with more detail cause you don't just want to go and delete payroll results willy-nilly. What hrboss is saying is: Let's say your current period is 10/2008. If payroll has been run for an employee, and in period 10/2008 it retro'd ...

Re: Double holiday pay Issue

I'm assuming in T554C the absence is set to generate a wage type....?

Anyway, all you have to do is go through the log to see where the wage type is being generated in payroll (not the one imported from the ZL)

It's time to stop the sheep jokes :-P

Australia needs to stop thinking of New Zealand as the "cousin at the party who's got the short trousers" and treat their neighbour more seriously, a leading historian says. :D  "It's time to stop trotting out the sheep jokes and the endless ribbing on the sports field and make our relationshi...

Re: should i buy a mac laptop?

I've got a Toshiba laptop now. Vista is running just fine, though I'd prefer to have XP on it. +1 for Toshiba Both my HP and Sony VAIO laptops crashed beyond repair. I had to decide on a new (home) laptop. My work seems to prefer Toshiba and last year I was given a Toshiba Satellite Pro running Vis...

Re: What's gone wrong?

They realized right away there probably wasn't anything to the whole psychic/remote viewing thing. And by "right away" we mean 25 years later. The project lasted until 1995. Research into the project's validity concluded that while the remote viewers could get some details right, they were also doi...

I personally wouldn't do either... if it is absolutely necessary, I'd rather write a customer operation or function to do it. Alot cleaner.. but just my 2p worth

Re: Payroll area unchangeable for periods

I was referringto &sap_edit but didn't really just want to put it out there...as you can also really stuff things up by using it, and not completely understanding its limitations. e.g. deleting records with time constraint 1 (e.g. IT0001) where there are several records...BAD idea. It will delete th...
